She however should not be mistaken for Rita Grapel, the burlesque dancer.

Rita has done a thorough job of making sure information about her is not available at all on the internet. However, from picture, she is seen to have blonde hair and brown eyes and would be about five feet five in height. Rita seems to be in her late eighties or early nineties.
Per a picture on the Hollywood page of death on Facebook, Rita Vitaliano, Jerry Vale’s wife was born on the 20th of February 1934, we do not know how true that is. If it is really true, then Rita is currently 88 years old

It is known that Rita Vitaliano was married just once to Jerry Vale. Rita and Jerry said their vows in 1959 the exact sate of their wedding was not given and the story of how the duo met also has not been made available to the media. During their marriage, Rita and Jerry moved to California where they started attending Frank Sinatra’s shows. Frank was a friend of Jerry.

Rita had two children with Jerry. They are Robert Vale, Pamela Vitaliano. She also has three grandchildren.
Rita was married to Jerry for 55 years before he died on the 18th of May, 2014. Jerry died at his home in Palm Desert, California, USA aged at the age of 83. The cause of his death was not stated although he had a stroke a few years prior.
He is interred at Forest Lawn Cemetery, in Cathedral City, California. His biography A Singer’s Life, was written by Richard Grudens and was published in 2000 by Celebrity Profiles.

Rita’s husband Jerry Vale’s birth name was Genaro Louis Vitaliano. Jerry said in an interview once that the doctor who delivered him omitted an ‘n’ from the spelling of his name which is an Italian name supposed to be spelt “Gennaro”.
He was born on the 8th of July in 1930 in the Bronx, New York in the United States of America. He was of Italian descent seeing as his parents immigrated from their hometown to the USA. He grew up in the Wakefield section of the Bronx, a section which mainly had Italian- American families inhabiting it.

Jerry started making use of his good vocals in high school where in order to make money, he worked in a barbering shop, shinning shoes and sang along while working to make extra cash. His boss at that time liked what he heard and so started paying for music lessons for Jerry.
Jerry then started singing in high school musicals and at a local nightclub. While he was still a teenager, Jerry left school and began to work alongside his father in a factory as an oiler.

Per the Washington post article posted on the death of her husband jerry, Rita was an actress. We do not know how authentic that article is and quite honestly the internet gives no information about that.

Her husband Jerry Vale as he as popularly known was as an American singer, songwriter and although he was an actor, he was only known for his great vocal and music. His music genre included Easy listening and Traditional pop. Many described him as a romantic ballad singer and he had his unique way of singer which distinguished him amongst many others.
