Billie Lou Yeager and her late ex-husband, Adam West met in 1940. The two former couple met at a time when they were both still students in Whitman College. They started dating some time later, and decided to get married when Adam was in his final year.

Billie and Adam got married on August 25, 1950. Their wedding ceremony took place in a Walla Walla County church called St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. The event was graced by friends and loved ones of the couple.

He married Marcelle Tagand Lear and they were married till his death in June 2017. They had two children in addition to two other children from Lear’s previous marriage.

In 2017, Adam West died of Leukemia, cancer of the blood at age 88. Many celebrities paid their tribute to the legendary actor, who made the Batman character famous in the 1960s. His longtime friend, Burt Ward had this to say about Adam, ”This is a terribly unexpected loss of my lifelong friend, I will forever miss him. There are several fine actors who have portrayed Batman in films. In my eyes, there was only one real Batman that is and always will be Adam West. He was truly the Bright Knight.”
