He earned the opportunity to travel the country with Bucky Lasek, Bam Margera, Tony Hawk, and others as a professional skateboarder on the Powell Peralta Team. He threw all this out of the window because of his drug addiction. His heroine addiction was discovered by Mike Vallely and Tony Hawk presented him with the option of either quitting skateboarding or attending rehab and he chose heroine over his skateboarding career which he said later in an interview that he regretted.

In his words he said “Skateboarding is truly the love of my life, and it scared me to think that I let it slip through my fingers because of drugs.”
